asumise

Make new discoveries and deepen cultural
awareness at “asumise” experience store.

asumise (tomorrow’s shop) reopened on September 18, 2024 at Daimaru Tokyo department store, which is directly connected to Tokyo Station. It also moved from the 4th to the 9th floor.
Shifting value from the act of “buying” to the joy of “discovery”, this experience store quadrupled in size so there are even more opportunities to encounter unique products and experiences.

Featured brands are changed every three months or so to make every visit a fresh experience. Brands range from “kusakura sashiko”, an apparel brand produced by a maker of highly durable yet exceptionally soft judo uniform fabric, to “hikiZAN”, which uses advanced machining techniques to craft one-of-a-kind sake vessels of mineral-like beauty from solid titanium.

The space is like a showroom where visitors can experience products and learn about their backgrounds to gain a deeper understanding before making purchasing decisions. Visitors can also directly place orders via QR code website link and purchase items currently in stock at the store.

The renewed space was designed by PHYLE, a company known for creating simple yet refined environments. Gently curving displays highlight the appeal of each product.

Smooth Ultrasuede®️ sofas in the shared lounge captivate visitors and fill up quickly. Neon reflections in the windows further enhance the sophisticated urban atmosphere.

asumise has evolved beyond the boundaries of a traditional retail store into a space for discovering and sharing Japan’s manufacturing culture. Rather than simply encouraging purchases, it lets you refine your values by experiencing authentic craftsmanship firsthand.
